We’ll reach Scanno, an enchanting old little town, part of the exclusive club of “the most beautiful old villages of Italy“. For lunch, we’ll taste the real Abruzzo shepherds’ cuisine. On the way back, we will stop at a suggestive hermitage and a beautiful tiny village, nestled in the mountain.
Today we’ll discover Abruzzo coasts! We’ll drive on the beautiful “Trabocchi road”, a wonderful panoramic trail that will allow you to admire this part of Abruzzo coastal shores! We’ll also stop at a beautiful abbey, at some stunning sightseeing points and wherever you want to take a photo! We’ll then reach a wonderful traboccofor lunch! Trabocchi are fishing houses, built right on the Adriatic Sea. They have now become little restaurants, where we’ll have one of most amazing seafood experiences you’ll ever have!
Today we’ll visit Rocca Calascio, one of the 15 most beautiful castles in the world, according to National Geographic! To visit this site, become very famous after being the setting for many Hollywood movies, such as Lady Hawke or The name of the rose, we’ll have a one-kilometre walk in the mountains, but don’t worry: it’s an easy walk and the view at the end of it is indescribable! After our walk, a well-deserved lunch is waiting for us with typical local dishes! We’ll indulge in an interesting visit to Santo Stefano Di Sessanio, part of the exclusive “the most beautiful old villages of Italy” club, for the afternoon.
An incredible truffle lunch is waiting for us today…but before, you’ll have the chance to participate in a real truffle hunt with the loveliest dogs! After lunch, relax while we reach Civitella del Tronto, part of “the most beautiful villages of Italy” club. We will walk through the tiny paths of this old fortified borgo, situated on a steep cliff and we’ll visit its marvelous fortress, with its museum of old weapons. Enchanting!
Today you will feel like a real sommelier and discover Abruzzo grapes and wines! Our first stop will be at a lovely winery on Abruzzo hilltops, where we will have our first tasting. Then, after a delicious typical lunch, we’ll spend the afternoon sipping wines at another winery!
A local market, a cooking class and a beautiful winery
This morning you will dive into Abruzzo local life with a visit to one of the most important weekly markets of Teramo province. Around lunchtime, we’ll have a fantastic cooking experience with one of the funniest local ladies you will ever meet: all that, surrounded by the stunning greeneries of Abruzzo countryside! For lunch, of course, we will have what we cooked together. In the afternoon, we’ll reach a small local winery that produces amazing wines: a short visit and many wine tastings are waiting for us!
Take a walk along the shore, plunge your feet in the sand, sunbathe with the Adriatic Sea breeze caressing your skin… this morning is “relax time” under your beach umbrella at the lido! After a yummy lunch, we’ll enjoy a visit to a lovely little town on our beautiful Abruzzo hilltops! To top the day off, the authentic, genuine experience of a typical Sagra: we will experience one of Abruzzo best food festivals, taste delicious dishes, do “as the locals do” and enjoy the evening there! Meraviglioso!
